Ideas for Quizzers!

12/18/12: I am the most successful if I make a study plan, and write it down and show my parents what I plan to study and when.  I find that if I show them my plan, I am much more likely to do it than if I just keep the plan in my mind.  I make my study plan each week.

12/18/12: I make a list of all my hardest verses and put it in a place where I will see it often.

11/26/12:  While studying my chapter for the current month, I try to everyday read my chapter that I will be learning next month.  So when next month comes, I am already very familiar with the new chapter.  I have found that it only takes half as long to memorize.

11/20/12
: I frequently quote verses out loud to my siblings and parents. They can catch little mistakes I didn't realize I was making. Listening to someone else quote a chapter to you is just as beneficial.

11/21/12: Pick a couple favorite verses from the chapter you are studying, and share what you like about them with a friend. Not only will it help you become more comfortable quoting verses from memory, it's a practical way to apply what you have been learning to your life.

11/09/12 – Instead of just memorizing for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, try blocking out a whole hour and see how much you can get done.  I usually find that it’s easier to remember and understand the passage if I can learn it in one sitting.

11/06/12 – Take the best chapter you know, and review it so you can quote it without a mistake starting at verse 1 to the end.  Then, using a stopwatch, time how long it takes to quote the chapter.  Try saying it as fast as you can, trying to break your record time.  Make your study time be a mini-Olympics, continue to try to go faster and faster.  Instead of quoting out loud, try quoting it in your mind, thinking the verse.  See how fast you can go…..
