For the 2008-2009 season, SBQ will try an experimental program for 9 & 10 year olds.

The main purpose of our Junior program is to promote Bible memorization with this age group, while preparing them for BQF style quizzing for the future.

Bible Memorization in fun environment will be stressed. There will be NO trophies, stats, tournaments, winners or non-winners. (Ok, maybe some candy).

While many details are still being worked out, and will be posted here in the future, here are some basics.

There will be three quizzes each of the five months. Some quizzes may be “individual style” and others will be “team style”.
There will not be permanent teams, but rather the teams will change each month, based on who comes to quiz.
Two chapters will be added to the material each month, for a total of 10 chapters.
Junior quizzers will use the same rules as the SBQ program.
Quizzers must be 9 years old as of October 4, 2008, and have not turned 11 by October 4, 2008. Those turning 9 after October 4 can join the program once reaching 9 years old.
The registration fees are the same as for the SBQ program.

The SBQ committee has approved this program on a limited basis, and reserves the right to cancel it at any point.

October: 100% from chapter 2 & 4

November: 40% from 2 & 4

60% from 5 & 6

December: 40% from 2, 4, 5, & 6

60% from 10 & 11

January: 40% from 2, 4, 5, 6, 10 & 11

60% rom 14 & 15

February: 40% from 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 14 & 15

60% from 16 & 17
